  • Apple today announced iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays. With faster LTE download speeds of up to 150 Mbps, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus support high-quality voice calls over LTE (VoLTE) as well as Wi-Fi calling.

  • Globally, 51 LTE networks have been launched so far in 2014, according to a recent report from GSA. The total number of commercial LTE networks is expected to be more than 350 by the end of this year. Overall, 318 operators have commercially launched LTE networks and service in 111 countries.

  • ZTE has launched the Blade Vec 4G with Google Now Launcher and Grand S II LTE in Hong Kong. Priced at HKD 1,499, the ZTE Blade Vec 4G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8926 processor and offers a 5-inch high-density display in a glass-fiber design with 7.8 mm thickness.

  • A recent GSA report confirms 300 commercial LTE network launches in 107 countries. 35 4G LTE networks have launched so far in 2014.
