A new look for LteWorld

in Blog

Today we have given a new look to LteWorld which will allow users to post their blogs and and use forums easily.

  • LTE 4G promises a higher end-user experience with faster data rates. But, the complexity of new smart devices and new network technology means that to achieve a seamless experience, extensive testing of the devices, network and services prior to market introduction is increasing in importance.

  • GSA has announced that globally 331 operators have commercially launched LTE networks and service in 112 countries. 65 LTE networks have launched so far in 2014. In addition, 116 mobile operators have launched HD voice service representing over 30% YoY growth.

  • Apple today announced iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays. With faster LTE download speeds of up to 150 Mbps, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus support high-quality voice calls over LTE (VoLTE) as well as Wi-Fi calling.

  • Operators have large teams of field sales staff working with small, medium and large corporations selling the full complement of voice and data services.

  • One of the major issues limiting LTE roaming rollout is the need to negotiate and test a new LTE  roaming agreement with each roaming partner.

  • U.S. carrier Sprint will introduce 6.6mm Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, featuring a high-resolution Super AMOLED display with the high-speed network data capabilities of Sprint Spark enhanced LTE, where available.

  • U.S. carrier Sprint has announced new shared data plans that offer double the high-speed data at the same or lower price as compared to AT&T and Verizon Wireless. The Sprint Family Share Pack will be available starting Aug. 22.

  • Globally, 51 LTE networks have been launched so far in 2014, according to a recent report from GSA. The total number of commercial LTE networks is expected to be more than 350 by the end of this year. Overall, 318 operators have commercially launched LTE networks and service in 111 countries.
