Which 2013 smartphone is the best for gaming?

in Blog, LTE

During 2013 there have been at least 15 smartphones launched to date, and there might well be some more before the year is out. While many of these have really more or less sneaked in by the back door, others have been heralded by bugle calls from the roof and other hype generating publicity blazes. One of the most cynical being the launch of the iPhone 5S, finger print detection will only encourage muggers to go for your fingers as well as your smartphone, though if you were one of the sixty or so people who queued for several days and nights to get hold of it we hope that you won’t be too disappointed. The Galaxy 4S smartphone is by huge leaps and bounds considerably better, especially for gaming.

Just look at the comparative specifications. The iPhone 5S has a 4 inch screen, the Galaxy 4S has a 5 inch one. The screen resolution of the iPhone is just 640 x 1136 pixels while that of the Galaxy 4S is 1080 x 1920 pixels. The iPhone 5S is powered by a dual core 1.3 GHz processor, the Galaxy 4S is powered by a 1.9 GHz quad core processor. Fine, this is no big deal if you are playing online casino games such as slots and roulette at an online casino UK, nor does it make a great deal of difference to playing your favourite Angry Birds app, but it makes a huge difference if you gaming activities run to playing big multiplayer console quality games. The iPhone might be able to cope with them just, but it takes the Galaxy 4S to make them really fly.

The Galaxy 4S does have competitors other than the iPhone 5S. For instance the Motorola Razor I is a good all-rounder, the Huawei Ascend P6 is great value for money, there are few flies on the HTC One X+. The Sony Xperia Z1 is the best phone to emerge from the Sony stable, but to date as far as gaming goes the Galaxy 4S is still the best, better that all the rest.
