Batelco Awards Ericsson LTE Expansion Contract

Mobile operator Batelco has selected Ericsson for its LTE and WCDMA expansion plans in Bahrain. The network will be expanded to cover new areas in the country, and upgraded to provide faster mobile broadband connections for subscribers.

Communications services provider Batelco and Huawei have successfully showcased LTE technology at Batelco`s Hamala Headquarters on March 22nd. During the trial speeds of 150Mbps were achieved.
