Ericsson has announced that it partnered with SingTel for operator's commercial launch of 4G LTE services in Singapore. According to company, it played an important role in transforming SingTel's current 2G/3G network into a multi-standard network with 4G/LTE capability
Vodafone Australia plans to commence 4G LTE roll out in early 2013. Operator has also announced the launch of Dual Carrier HSPA+ services in key parts of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Adelaide and Newcastle.

Singapore's service provider StarHub plans to launch LTE network on 19 September 2012. At the same time, operator is also enhancing its 3G network with introduction of Dual Cell High-Speed Packet Access Plus (DC-HSPA+) for improved downlink speed.
Despite faster operator commitments for LTE deployment, HSPA investments are not slowing down. Confirming that HSPA+ is quickly expanding, GSA reports that a total of 241 operators have committed to HSPA+ network deployments, representing an increase of over 62% in the past year. HSPA+ networks are being deployed in 106 countries, 39 countries more than a year ago.
