Nokia and Singapore's StarHub have successfully tripled peak upload speed to 150Mbps over the operator's 4G network, in a trial using carrier aggregation technology and the 64 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) technique.
27th May, 2015. Singapore’s second-largest mobile operator, StarHub, today successfully conducted a trial at its headquarters demonstrating 600Mbps peak download speeds using Nokia Networks’ 4X4 MIMO technology with LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation.
24 October 2012 - Wireless services leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has scored another first in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) arena with the setting up of an LTE roaming interconnect link with Singapore telco StarHub.
Singapore's service provider StarHub plans to launch LTE network on 19 September 2012. At the same time, operator is also enhancing its 3G network with introduction of Dual Cell High-Speed Packet Access Plus (DC-HSPA+) for improved downlink speed.
Singapore's mobile operator StarHub has selected Nokia Siemens Networks as its LTE mobile broadband infrastructure and services vendor. StarHub plans to re-use 1800MHz GSM spectrum to offer nationwide LTE service.
