EE Launches LTE in Nine More Areas Across the UK
UK's telecom operator, EE has made 4G LTE services available in nine new towns across the UK, bringing the total number of towns and cities covered by LTE to 27. EE switched on LTE today in Amersham, Bolton, Chelmsford, Hemel Hempstead, Southend-on-Sea, Stockport, Sunderland, Sutton Coldfield and Wolverhampton.
According to operator, its LTE network now covers the homes and businesses of approximately 45% of the UK population. EE is aiming for 98% of the UK population to be covered by the end of 2014.
EE is currently offering a wide range of mobile handsets, tablets and mobile Wi-Fi devices to its customers, including iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE, iPad mini and Huawei Mobile Wi-Fi. The newly launched Blackberry Z10 is also available from EE stores today.
