South Korean mobile operator LG Uplus has picked Samsung, LG-Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks to supply LTE equipment needed to set up its 4G LTE network.

LG Uplus plans to finish deploying the LTE network and start operating it in July next year according to Reuters.

The operator and top-ranked SK Telecom plan to begin LTE deployment next year, while second-placed KT eyes 2012 LTE rollout.
