Sunrise and Huawei Conduct 5G Tests in Switzerland

Sunrise and Huawei demonstrated 5G performance with download data throughput of 3.28 Gbit/s in the 3.5 GHz (band 42) frequency band at the 5G lab at Sunrise headquarters in Zurich Oerlikon. The operator plans to use the same configuration from 2020.
The core network end-to-end applications used in demonstration included 5G antenna with 64 x 64 massive MIMO, Mobile 4K TV, Mobile virtual reality, Mobile 360° video.
The real capacity and performance of a 5G network were demonstrated by the cloud-based wireless transmission of twelve parallel 4K video streams, each at about 40-50 Mbit/s, for a total broadband requirement of up to 750 Mbit/s.
