Verizon Wireless has selected Tektronix Communications’ Iris suite of solutions to support the monitoring of It’s LTE services. The Iris suite of products provides multiple organizations at a service provider with real-time and historical information for service troubleshooting and performance monitoring needs. Tektronix Communications was chosen following a rigorous selection process for solutions that demonstrated versatility and scalability while providing deep, end-to-end visibility into LTE network and service performance.

“As we maintain and deploy America’s most advanced 4G LTE network, we knew we needed a monitoring solution that helps assure that our services perform seamlessly for our customers,” said Nicola Palmer, vice president of network for Verizon Wireless.

Tektronix Communications’ Iris suite of products includes GeoProbe G10, Iris Analyzer toolset, IrisView and Iris Performance Intelligence. The new high-speed, high-density 10GE probe features a distributed architecture optimized to handle high -bandwidth IP traffic. Iris Analyzer toolset provides L2 to L7 troubleshooting by characterizing IP traffic by links, applications and servers. Iris Performance Intelligence provides end-to-end analysis and reporting capabilities coupled with a flexible and powerful KPI/KQI modeling engine that allows operators to better link desired business outcomes to events that occur at the network level.

Verizon Wireless will use the Iris LTE solution to increase visibility into IP service uptake, usage and quality, and the network’s ability to deliver these IP services.
