Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing for Android- and PC-based Products

in press-release, Mobile World Congress, SwissQual, LTE

Zuchwil, February 05, 2014 - SwissQual – a Rohde & Schwarz Company – launches its Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing feature for both Android- and PC-based specialist equipment for wireless network service quality benchmarking and RF optimization. With such an optional feature, the independent Swiss supplier, headquartered in Zuchwil, fills a critical gap in testing and controlling the quality and coverage of wireless networks. Released together with the latest software for QualiPoc Android, SwissQual’s Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing feature offers network operators and service providers an additional competitive solution for optimizing and troubleshooting networks quickly and efficiently.

SwissQual’s exclusive Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing feature will initially be available in its Android-based QualiPoc product family, including the mobile solutions QualiPoc Android and QualiPoc Freerider II. In the near future, SwissQual’s Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing feature will also be available in its PC-based product family Diversity.

“With Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing for Android, SwissQual is expanding its portfolio with a competitive breakthrough feature, which becomes available on the latest Cat.4 Android Smartphones. Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing enables network operators and service providers not only fast and cost-efficient on-site inspections to test and verify antenna range; also, unlike similar solutions who only can lock to a WCDMA or LTE Channel, SwissQual customers can benefit from the unique cell forcing feature by conducting active service and performance tests, including speech quality measurement for each cell sector at an antenna site.”

“Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing empowers RF engineers to rapidly check an antenna’s optimal positioning and coverage range, verifying whether the data of planning and deployment are in agreement. Furthermore, it facilitates daily optimization and troubleshooting tasks, e.g. resolving antenna cross-feeder installations”, says John May, CEO of SwissQual.

Learn more about SwissQual’s exclusive Advanced Channel/Cell Forcing feature and visit SwissQual at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona from February 24 to 27. SwissQual is exhibiting at booth 6B50, hall 6, where the Rohde & Schwarz group of companies will provide information specifically for network operators and infrastructure manufacturers under the motto "Ensure the performance of your network".
