Huber+Suhner showcases in-building antenna solutions, mobile communications, data center solutions and its new São Paulo production facility at Futurecom

in press-release, HUBER+SUHNER, LTE

14th October, 2014: RF Connectors, IBC/DAS Solutions plus cable systems for LTE all on display at South America's biggest telecom event

Global connectivity supplier HUBER+SUHNER showcases its strength in the South American market this week at Futurecom with a comprehensive display of its wide-ranging solutions in RF connectors, DAS Distributed Antenna Systems for in-building networks, fiber management in data centers and cabling systems for the upgrade of mobile communications (LTE). The company is also displaying its local presence with information and a video about the company's new fiber optic cable production facility near São Paulo.

A Swiss-based company with global operations, including a strong South American presence, HUBER+SUHNER develops and manufactures components and system solutions for the electrical and optical transportation of both data and energy. The company serves customers in the Communication, Transportation and Industrial markets with cables, connectors, cable systems, antennas and other passive components. Its portfolio builds on its expertise in radio frequency, fiber optics and low frequency technologies.

Introducing HUBER+SUHNER's new fiber optic cable production plant in Caçapava

Opened just over one year ago in Caçapava, near São Paulo, HUBER+SUHNER's new manufacturing plant produces the latest and most innovative fiber optic cables and cable systems. With the latest manufacturing equipment and a high degree of innovation HUBER+SUHNER is able to optimize its products regularly and supply customers with up-to-date, efficient and reliable solutions for their connectivity requirements.

New mid-size RF connectors 4.3-10

As a global supplier of RF products, HUBER+SUHNER is actively engaged in developing innovative solutions for the telecom market. The new 4.3-10 connector system is designed to meet the growing performance needs of mobile network equipment, at the same time responding to the ongoing need to reduce size. This new interface offers very low PIM performance together with advantages of compact size and reduced weight. A key feature of this connector is the separation of the electrical and mechanical plane, which results in a lower coupling torque and the ability to offer the connector with screw, hand-screw and quick-lock design, thus simplifying the installation effort and giving a very high electrical performance for all mechanisms.

In-building communications solutions - DAS Antennas

This week at Futurecom the company is also showing its new portfolio of antennas for IBC/DAS implementation. HUBER+SUHNER's extremely broadband, low PIM SENCITY® antenna portfolio is a perfect fit for the broadband requirements in a multiband, multi-operator indoor environment. The Distributed Antenna System permits wireless communication by mobile phones, smartphone and tablets within entire buildings or delimited zones which are not normally covered by wireless signals, in both public and private locations. HUBER+SUHNER provides solutions which bring both efficient and economic RF coverage into the building. SENCITY® antennas perform best in networks that combine 2G, 3G, LTE, WiFi and public safety DAS. High gain antennas are available from 380 MHz up to 6 GHz. HUBER+SUHNER case studies include hospitals, railway stations, and airports, including the Aeroporta internacionale de Brasilia and the Tancredo Neves/Confins airport at Belo Horizonte in Brazil, where HUBER+SUHNER's wireless connectivity products are being widely specified for in-building 4G wireless connectivity.

Cable systems for LTE

Also on display are the company's cable systems for the upgrade of mobile communications to LTE (4th Generation - 4G). These include the MASTERLINE Ultimate hybrid (MLUH), MASTERLINE Extreme hybrid (MLEH), MASTERLINE Ultimate Fiber (MLU) cable systems. HUBER+SUHNER will also be unveiling its brand new connector - the Q-ODC 12, which allows the connection of 12 fibers with one connector.

Futurecom visitors can discover more about the HUBER+SUHNER range of solutions for the South American market and hear about local projects and manufacturing at the HUBER+SUHNER booth J22.
