Signalion Adds 3.5GHz Support to SORBAS LTE Test-UE

in press-release, Signalion, LTE

Dresden/Germany, March 20th, 2012 – Signalion today announced that the SORBAS LTE Test-UE now supports the 3GPP LTE TDD bands 42 and 43 (3.4GHz – 3.8GHz).

Radio spectrum has been identified as one of the most important drivers for the ongoing success of wireless technologies. The frequency bands at 3.5GHz provide spectrum for many applications and, particularly, in dense urban areas. The first 3.5GHz LTE networks are being rolled out and require testing now.

“Signalion is rising at the challenge of the highly fragmented spectrum that is available globally for wireless applications. In the past we have developed an RF technology that meets the ever changing demands of testing wireless infrastructure over the air. We are proud to be a front-runner also in supporting the 3.5GHz spectrum with our SORBAS LTE Test-UE. This is the next step of a continuing success story”, says Tim Hentschel, Managing Director of Signalion.

The SORBAS LTE Test-UE is a standard test device for functional testing of LTE and LTE-A eNB including small cells. All its successful features such as scalable MIMO support are also available in the 3.5GHz band now.
