Signalion delivers a novel solution for CPRI data analysis in the field

in press-release, Signalion, LTE

January 30, 2012 - ignalion, a leading supplier of test and measurement equipment for LTE radio network infrastructure, announces its novel product SRA-1-CPRI for CPRI data reception and analysis. The SRA-1-CPRI receives data from the CPRI connection between base stations (Node-B, eNode-B) and remote radio heads (RRH/RRU). This data is made available for further analysis directly in its digital form or it is reconverted into an RF signal for further analysis with standard equipment already available with the engineers doing the troubleshooting in the field but lacking the CPRI interface. The SRA-1-CPRI solution is available for LTE and W-CDMA.

“The advantages of the SRA-1-CPRI lie in the simplified data access. Docking is easy and convenient, e.g. in the base station cabinet. Also remote access is possible. No mast climbing is necessary. Direct access to the pure digital data stream without distorting influences allows a precise data analysis. Interference problems in particular have been discovered with the SRA-1-CPRI solution under circumstances which other solutions in the market have failed in. Moreover, our product is compatible with traditional measurement equipment using the RF output option of the SRA-1-CPRI”, says Dr. Thorsten Dräger, managing director of Signalion.
