Alcatel-Lucent and Mobily Saudi Arabia have announced the deployment of virtualized radio access network (RAN) software from Alcatel-Lucent’s Network Function Virtualization (NFV) portfolio launched during Mobile World Congress 2014.  

ZTE announced that the company won a major mobile network contract from Cambodia's mobile operator Sotelco. ZTE’s wireless solutions will be deployed in Sotelco’s networks for 2G, 3G and 4G services.

Qualcomm has announced its fourth-generation 3G/LTE multimode solutions with the newest modem chipset, the Qualcomm® Gobi™ 9x35, and RF transceiver chip, the Qualcomm WTR3925, designed for 4G LTE Advanced mobile broadband connectivity.
