Huawei partnered with Dialog's fixed broadband service arm Dialog Broadband Networks (DBN) to launch an LTE TDD network in Sri Lanka. The first of the network's two phases was completed on December 31, currently providing coverage in the capital Colombo, 

Huawei has announced that it enabled circuit switch fall back (CSFB) voice call between a LTE TDD compatible network and a UMTS network. This CSFB voice call was made through Huawei's STREAM 201HW smartphone, now available through SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp in Japan.

Ericsson and Qualcomm have demonstrated Release 9 Circuit Switched Fall Back (CSFB) from LTE TDD (TD-LTE) to GSM, live, using a standard Ericsson radio base station RBS 6000 and an LTE multimode chipset from Qualcomm. With this achievement, both LTE FDD and LTE TDD modes, using un-paired spectrum, could also make use of the broad GSM coverage.

SK Telecom has announced two-way handover that supports both FDD LTE and TDD LTE in one device. Operator, together with Ericsson and Altair Semiconductor, demonstrated handover in between two different duplex modes of the LTE technology standard in a moving vehicle environment.

ZTE has unveiled MF820S2 and MF91S, the new multi-standard USB modem and uFi that supports LTE FDD/LTE TDD/TD-SCDMA / EDGE. According to the company, its multi-mode wireless devices represent the next chapter in LTE terminal product development, breaking down regional standard barriers and constraints at user end points.
