Another reason to convince us why I had this conclusion in mind is because Verizon Wireless has announced they are launching a 4G system last Sunday, Dec. 5. The proof is here: Verizon 4G LTE network to launch Sunday The 4G technology Verizon is utilizing is called LTE. 4G simply means that this is the 4th generation wireless network. No Verizon cell phones yet support the 4G network technologies. Verizon plans on rolling out 4G cell phones in January.
